Hey man.
You are here.
So what next? THE HARD PART: making that first call, getting in contact, walking through the door and sitting down.

But after that?
After that you are on the road to a better life.

What is good is that I know what it’s like to be a bloke and to go to counselling…

…and I’ve got no desire to make it hard for you. I can’t really convince you on a website. I guess I don’t need to… I mean if you are ready, you are ready.

ABOUT CAMPBELL

Simply, I want to see people become all that they can be, including having awesome relationships and living a full life.

Sometimes it is hard to look at who you have been, the things that have been done to you by others... and the ways you might be able to recover, grow and change.
Sometimes that journey is better taken with another, supportive, caring, non-judgmental individual. If I can be that person for you then I’m keen to get started.

More?

So what is interesting...

Well professionally I am what is known as a client or person-centred therapist.
But I also incorporate a number of other ideas into my work with clients, including creative drawing exercises, 'transactional analysis' and a technique called 'empty chair'.

Qualifications-wise I have a Bachelor Degree in Counselling and am a Full Member of NZCCA.
I also tutor on the counselling program at Vision College.

More personally, I am married to Ruth and together we have two teenaged sons.

Other than the journey toward being a whole person, I am interested in old Triumph Motorcycles, well planted veggie gardens, vintage fighter aircraft, community development initiatives, pizza ovens, books with swords on the covers, music played with passion, steam trains, forests, children flourishing, authentic spirituality, sustainability and people doing really well at being themselves.
Oh and watching movies and going for walks on the beach.

So yeah, it would be great to see if we have what's called a 'good therapeutic fit' and to begin working together.
Feel free to give me a call if you would like to chat though anything to do with counselling.

My clients talk with me about HEAPS OF things, like:

Abuse
Addiction
Anger
Anxiety
Boundaries
Childhood
Depression
Gaming Addiction
Grief
Guilt
Loneliness
Marriage
Parenting
Perfectionism
Pornography
Purpose
Relationships
Self-esteem
Separation
Shame
Social Anxiety
Spirituality
Stress
Trauma

“At the start I could not imagine how meeting with Campbell was going to help me. I guess I didn't even really know how counselling  really worked, I believed I did, but na. Anyway, I was in a real dark place and he got that and over time he really helped me to understand myself, how I ticked, and then to grow. Awesome stuff.”
